The Scottsdale City Council on July 1 considered a $12.46 million contract with Chasse Building Team to add levels to the Brown Avenue Parking Structure in Old Town, and approved the Fiscal Year 2026/27 Old Town Scottsdale Marketing Plan funded through the Tourism Development Fund.

Parking structure expansion

The council considered Item 12, a resolution authorizing a construction contract with Chasse Building Team, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $12,463,464, for the expansion of the Brown Avenue Parking Structure at 7234 E. 2nd Street. The project is Capital Project PD2101, Bond 2019 Project No. 63, and involves building additional levels on the existing structure.

The contract represents a significant capital investment in downtown Scottsdale's parking infrastructure, addressing long-term demand in the Old Town area. Alison Tymkiw, City Engineer and Transportation and Infrastructure Senior Director, was the staff contact.
