1. GILBERT COUNTY ISLAND FIRE DISTRICT - APPOINTMENT TO THE PROPERTY TAX RATE BOARD Pursuant to A.R.S. §48-853(A)(8)(c)(i), select a third person to serve on the three person board which will set the secondary property tax rate for the Gilbert County Island Fire District. The tax rate board will meet and set the tax rate within thirty days after the third person is appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The three person board shall set the secondary property tax rate for the district that will compensate the municipality for providing fire protection and emergency medical services. The Gilbert County Island Fire District and the Town of Gilbert have both appointed one person each to the board. Because there is no agreement on the third appointee, the Board of Supervisors shall appoint the third person to the board. (C-06-09-005-9-00)
