6. CANCELLATION NOTICE OF THE HEARING ON THE IMPACT STATEMENT FOR THE PROPOSED WADDELL FIRE DISTRICT The Board has received notifications from each of the three members of the Organizing Board identified in the Impact Statement that they are withdrawing their proposal for the Waddell Fire District. The hearing on the impact statement is therefore cancelled. Cancellation of the hearing does not preclude future submissions. IMPACT STATEMENT HEARING FOR THE PROPOSED WADDELL FIRE & MEDICAL DISTRICT Pursuant to A.R.S. §48-261, convene the scheduled public hearing on the impact statement for the proposed Waddell Fire & Medical District. The Board will hear those who appear for and against the proposed fire district and shall determine whether the creation of the fire district will promote the public’s health, comfort, convenience, necessity or welfare. If the Board determines that the public health, comfort, convenience, necessity or welfare will be promoted, it shall approve the impact statement and authorize the persons proposing the district to circulate petitions. The proposed district is generally located in the unincorporated area described as follows and includes approximately 4,739 parcels in Supervisorial District 4: THOSE portions of the following described Sections, Townships, and Ranges, lying within the Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian, Maricopa County, Arizona, described as follows: TOWNSHIP 2 NORTH RANGE 2 WEST All of Section 2; TOGETHER WITH All of Section 3; Except the East 10 Feet of the West 33 Feet thereof; TOGETHER WITH All of Section 4; TOGETHER WITH All of Section 9; TOGETHER WITH All of Section 10; Except the East 10 Feet of the West 33 Feet thereof; TOGETHER WITH All of Section 11; TOGETHER WITH TOWNSHIP 3 NORTH RANGE 2 WEST All of Section 26; Except the South 10 Feet of the North 33 Feet thereof; and Except That property known as "Zanjero Pass Parcel 1-3 Phase 2-4" as shown in Book 979, Page 26 of Official Records of Maricopa County, Arizona, being located in the West Half of Section 26, Township 3 North, Range 2 West of the Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian, Maricopa County, Arizona, further described as follows: Beginning at an Iron Pipe accepted as the Southwest Comer of said section 26 from which a Rebar accepted as the South Quarter comer of said section bears South 89 degrees 59 minutes 27 seconds East, 2639.08 feet; Thence North 00 degrees 23 minutes 32 seconds East, 2632.93 feet along the west line of said final plat and said west half of section 26 to an Aluminum Cap accepted as the West Quarter comer of said section; Thence continuing along said west lines North 00 degrees 23 minutes 32 seconds East 989.02 feet to the northwest comer of said plat for Zanjero Pass; Thence along the north line of said plat North 89 degrees 59 minutes 57 seconds East, 2642.94 feet to the northeast comer thereof; Thence South 00 degrees 27 minutes 16 seconds West, 2306.50 feet along the east line of said plat also being the east line of said west half section 26; Thence North 89 degrees 58 minutes 45 seconds West, 1320.26 feet along a portion of said final plat boundary; Thence South 00 degrees 25 minutes 24 seconds West, 1316.97 feet along a portion of said final plat boundary to a point on the south line of said section 26; Thence North 89 degrees 57 minutes 27 seconds West, 1319.54 feet along said south line also being the south line of said final plat to the Point of Beginning.
