100. INCREASE IN FLEET FOR MARICOPA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICE OF PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE Approve the permanent addition to Maricopa County’s Department of Public Health’s fleet for a ½ Ton Extended Cab Truck, estimated at $45,000 (cost including taxes and fees). The vehicle will be used by the Office of Preparedness & Response (OPR) for official business activities. Funding for the vehicle is CARES funding. Should CARES funding not be available at the time of delivery, funding for the vehicle will come from the Department of Public Health (860), General Fund (100). Board Required Information: The Office of Preparedness and Response (OPR) is requesting to purchase a vehicle to meet program needs associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic response. The Office of Preparedness and Response (OPR) does not own a vehicle to meet the daily needs of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and to support distribution of prophylaxis to the community. OPR requires a vehicle to support the following response activities: Delivering personal protective equipment (PPE) to long term healthcare facilities, private providers and schools. Delivering and distributing meals to specific isolation and quarantine sites providing lodging for people with unstable housing that have been isolated or quarantined related to COVID-19. Delivering PPE and supplies to Maricopa County’s COVID-19 isolation and quarantine sites. Delivering equipment to support jurisdiction and COVID-19 tribal testing sites. Delivering equipment and supplies to regional points of dispensing (PODs) for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccine. Distribution of equipment and supplies between the various locations of the Unified Command Center. Maricopa County Department of Public Health’s Office of Preparedness and Response is responsible for the ongoing insurance, operational costs and maintenance of this vehicle. (C-06-21-285-X-00)
