23. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE US MARSHALS SERVICE FOR THE ADULT PROBATION DEPARTMENT Accept the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the United States Marshals Service and the Adult Probation Department in the amount of $24,000 effective October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009. Adult Probation's indirect cost rate for FY 2008-09 is 9.1%. Indirect costs are not recoverable under this MOU. Therefore, $2,184.00 in indirect costs are not recoverable. These funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation and, therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. No budget adjustment is required. The purpose of this MOU is to provide the Adult Probation Department with $24,000 in funding to pay for overtime for probation officers who work with the Arizona WANTED Task Force. These funds are part of the federal High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) funding. Adult Probation is already a recipient of HIDTA funds through the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission.
