10. ONE TIME ADDITION TO THE COUNTY FLEET Approve a one time addition to the County fleet for two passenger sedans purchased by the US Marshals Service for the Adult Probation Department. These vehicles are in the possession of Equipment Services, will be titled to Maricopa County, and are designated for use by the Adult Probation Department’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit. Also, approve an exemption from markings and issuance of non-governmental license plates per A.R.S. 38-538-03 because these vehicles will be used to apprehend fugitives and markings are detrimental to the mission. These will be take home vehicles because fugitive apprehension is not a regularly scheduled assignment with set hours. The vehicle information, including make, model, year, color, and VIN numbers will be provided to the Clerk of the Board upon approval of this agenda. Funds for the cost of operating these new vehicles exist within Adult Probation’s fund 100 budget. These vehicles will be retired at the end of its useful life with no funding from the general fund for their replacement. (C-11-11-003-V-00)
