The State has not replaced many of these fleet vehicles in three years. Several Adult Probation vehicles are no longer reliable and are beyond reasonable repair without any known State replacement being definitively offered in the current fiscal year. The transfer of these vehicles will allow the Department to continue to provide mandated services and maintain officer safety until the State re-establishes its vehicle replacement program in future fiscal years. The vehicles being transferred have been deemed surplus by the County Attorney’s Office. (C-11-12-002-V-00)
