17. TRANSFER OF VEHICLES, NON-GOVERNMENTAL PLATES AND EXEMPTION FROM MARKINGS Approve the operating transfer of two vehicles from the Sheriff’s Office (500) to the Adult Probation Department (110). Both vehicles are being retained as one-time additions to the fleet and will not be replaced upon end of life. Also, approve non-governmental plates and exemption from marking for vehicles 11638 and 11741 per A.R.S. 38-538.03 because these vehicles will be used to provide surveillance of felony probationers and supervision of pretrial defendants. Markings are detrimental to the mission. These will be take home vehicles because supervision and surveillance are not a regularly scheduled assignments with set hours. The vehicle information, including make, model, year, color and VIN numbers will be provided to the Clerk of the Board upon approval of this agenda. These vehicles were purchased with detention funds and they will be used by Adult Probation detention fund programs. (C-11-12-007-V-00)
