20. ACCEPT GRANTS AND OTHER ASSOCIATED REVENUES FOR THE ADULT PROBATION DEPARTMENT FOR FY 2012-13 Accept the FY 2012-13 grants and other associated revenues for the Adult Probation Department of the Judicial Branch. The indirect cost rate as of July 2012 is 11.7% as approved by the Department of Finance. Some of the grants for FY 2012-13 do not allow indirect cost recovery as reflected in the attached funding agreements. The status of indirect costs as well as matching funds for each grant is noted on the attached summary sheet. For FY 2012-13, we anticipate accepting eleven (11) new awards for Grant Fund revenue of $3,244,130, carrying over Grant Fund revenue balance of $496,499 on seven (7) previously accepted awards and $2,076 in interest on two carryover grants. On the new awards, indirect costs on eligible expenditures are estimated to be $347,149 with $46,858 recoverable and $300,291 unrecoverable. In addition, approve an increase to the FY 2012-13 Adult Probation (110) Adult Probation Grants Fund (211) Operating (0000) revenue and expenditure appropriation in the amount of $273,844. This increase is necessary because actual grant funding to be received is more than anticipated and budgeted. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation and, therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. This budget adjustment does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures (C-11-13-004-G-00)
