Item Text
17. ACCEPT GRANTS FOR THE ADULT PROBATION DEPARTMENT Accept the FY 2014-15 grants and related revenue for the Adult Probation Department of the Judicial Branch. The indirect cost rate as of July 2014 is 12.6% as approved by the Department of Finance. Some of the grants for FY 2014-15 do not allow indirect cost recovery as reflected in the attached funding agreements. The status of indirect costs as well as matching funds for each grant is noted on the attached summary sheet. For FY 2014-15, we anticipate accepting twelve (12) new awards for Grant Fund revenue of $3,115,964, carrying over Grant Fund revenue balance of $304,081 on five (5) previously accepted awards with $137.00 in interest on two (2) carryover grants. On the new awards, indirect costs on eligible expenditures are estimated to be $364,796 with $82,582 recoverable and $282,214 unrecoverable. In addition, approve an increase to the FY 2014-15 Adult Probation (110) Adult Probation Grants Fund (211) Operating (0000) revenue and expenditure appropriation in the amount of $543,187. This increase is necessary because actual grant funding received is more than anticipated and budgeted. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation and, therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. This budget adjustment does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-11-15-002-G-00)
