31. PERMANENT ADDITIONS TO THE FLEET Approve a permanent addition to the fleet of two Ford Explorer Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) to be used by the Adult Probation Department (APD). As the sex offender probation population has continued to grow, APD has identified existing positions that can be reassigned to this case type, along with sufficient funding to purchase the required vehicles. The two new vehicles will be used by APD staff in support of the growth supervision teams, as is standard practice in the Sex Offender program. The estimated cost is $53,000.00 for each vehicle, for a total cost of $106,000.00 which includes taxes and onboarding costs. As permanent additions to the County vehicle fleet, the Judicial Branch is requesting that future replacements be addressed by County Equipment Services through established policies and procedures. FY2024 General Fund Operating Budget: $106,000.00 which includes taxes and onboarding costs. (C-11-24-000-X-00)
