56. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE GRANT Approve the agreement and acceptance of grant funds from Arizona Division of Emergency Management, Grant No. FFY 2012 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) CFDA # 97.042, in the not-to-exceed amount of $563,644.00. These grant funds are for Emergency Planning within Maricopa County. The grant award begins on October 1, 2010 and ends on June 30, 2012. Authorize the Department Director to sign all documents related to these grant funds, as applicable. The grant allows for full recovery of our indirect costs, or $68,963 which may be incurred by the Department of Emergency Management for the administration of this grant. The department indirect rate for FY12 is 13.8%. The grant allows full indirect cost recovery of $68,963. The recoverable indirect cost of administering this grant is $68,963, which have been approved by FEMA. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. This budget adjustment does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-15-12-003-M-00)
