22. ACCEPT FUNDS FROM ARIZONA EMERGENCY RESPONSE COMMISSION FOR THE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS GRANT Accept the funds for the Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness (HMEP) Grant FY 2013-CFDA 20-703 from Arizona Emergency Response Commission to Maricopa County through the Department of Emergency Management (MCDEM) in the not-to-exceed amount of $1,500.00. These grant funds are in support of the Maricopa County Local Emergency Planning Committee. The grant award begins on October 1, 2012 and ends September 30, 2013. This grant does not allow for indirect cost recovery. The Maricopa County Department of Finance has calculated the Department of Emergency Management's composite indirect cost rate at 12.3%, or $184.50. The unrecoverable indirect cost of administering this grant is $184.50. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. (C-15-13-007-M-00)
