35. ONE-TIME ADDITION TO THE FLEET OF ONE TRAILER Approve the one-time additions to the fleet of one (1) open trailer. This will be used to transport our mobile satellite throughout Maricopa County. Due to the size of the satellite unit a trailer is needed to move the satellite and associated equipment. This trailer will benefit the program by making it possible to move the satellite to remote areas, and or areas that have been impacted by a natural and or man-made disaster to move personnel, victims and equipment as needed for any public safety incident and or event. The Department purchased a mobile satellite for data telecommunications for regional deployment and in support of Palo Verde Reception and Care Center operations. The trailer will serve as a method of transport for the satellite when it is needed for deployment to our partners or to the Palo Verde Reception and Care Center. This satellite could also be used during a department COOP scenario. (C-15-19-007-2-00)
