A-3. ACCEPT GRANTS FOR THE CLERK OF THE SUPERIOR COURT FOR FY 2010-11 Accept FY 2010-11 grants for the Clerk of Superior Court in the amount of $1,834,946. The indirect costs (based upon a rate of 31.7% as calculated by the department of Finance) of $477,335 are not fully recoverable, as reflected in the funding agreements. FY 2010-11 grants allow for $329,157 of recoverable indirect costs and $148,178 of unrecoverable costs. Also, pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17106, approve appropriation adjustment(s) resulting in net increases to revenue and expenditures of $484,666 in the FY 2010-11 Clerk of the Court (160) COSC Grants Fund (216) Operating (0000) budget. Approval of this item will result in an overall grant funds appropriation of $1,834,946 for revenues and expenditures in the Clerk of the Court (160) COSC Grants Fund (216) Operating (0000) budget. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of these revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This request does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S 42-17105. Administrative Order #95-50, approved by Presiding Judge Robert D. Myers on June 29, 1995, adopted for the Judicial Branch a policy for the administration of grant funding. The policy, identical in form and substance to the policy adopted by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in June 1995 for all County departments, states that the Presiding Judge (or appropriate designee) will make a presentation of Judicial Branch grants to the Board of Supervisors on an annual basis. A summary of each grant has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the policy.
