28. TERMINATE IGAS BETWEEN SUPERIOR COURT AND COUNTY FINANCE DEPARTMENT Approve the termination of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Superior Court and Maricopa County, which transferred the Superior Court Collections Unit (CCU) to the Department of Finance. In addition, approve the termination of Amendment No. 1 to the IGA, which allowed for Finance to charge a reasonable collection fee for collecting Court ordered payments. The IGA and its amendment were initially approved by the Board of Supervisors on agendas C-18-04-020-2-00 and C-18-04-020-2-01 on January 7, 2004, and April 23, 2008, respectively. The termination of the IGA and its amendment will be effective on June 30, 2020, close of business. Maricopa County Finance Department and the Superior Court mutually agree that the IGA and its amendment should be terminated. The Budget Office has facilitated the transfer of budget authority from the Finance Department through the FY21 departmental budget process. In June 2020, the BOS will adopt the FY21 Annual County Budget and Appropriation which will include the transfer of budgeted resources between the applicable departments. (C-18-04-020-2-02)
