34. LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH HELPING ANIMALS LIVE ON (HALO) Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute, License Agreement P-50151 between Helping Animals Live On (HALO), an Arizona non-profit corporation and Maricopa County for the use of approximately 279 square feet of holding space at the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control facility located at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ , for the purpose of housing, and care for, cats that are available for alternative placement. Maricopa County is responsible for all expenses associated with the use of the space and common areas and HALO is responsible for all expenses associated with the care of the animals housed in the space. The term of the license shall commence on February 1, 2011 and will terminate on May 31, 2012. HALO has the right to renew the license for five (5) additional one (1) year terms. Either party may terminate the subject license with 30-day prior written notice. (C-18-11-019-L-00)

60. AMENDMENT TO LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH HELPING ANIMALS LIVE ON (HALO) FOR CAT HOLDING SPACE Approve And authorize the Chairman to execute, Amendment No. 1 to License Agreement No. P-50151, between Helping Animals Live On (HALO) as Licensee and Maricopa County for approximately 279 square feet of cat holding area at 2500 S. 27th Avenue in Phoenix to extend the term of the license for one (1) year and one month with an option to renew for an additional one year term; and, to give Licensee co-use of office space, restrooms, break room, and grooming room including designated telephones, equipment, and supplies. The original License Agreement was approved by the Board of Supervisors on February 9, 2011 (C-18-11-019-L-00). The new term will be from June 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. The Licensee will pay the County $10.00 for the one-year renewal term. (C-18-11-019-L-01)
