17. APPLY AND ACCEPT TRIBAL GAMING FUNDS FROM SALT RIVER PIMA-MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY AND APPROPRIATED BUDGET ADJUSTMENT Pursuant to A.R.S. §5-601.02, authorize Maricopa County through the Department of Finance to submit 21 applications to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community for Tribal Gaming Grant funds for County departments and community non-profits as listed below. These funds are for government or non-profit services that benefit the general public, including public safety, mitigation of the impacts of gaming, or promotion of commerce and economic development. The total amount of funds requested will not exceed $1,083,083.00. Pursuant to A.R.S. §5-601.02, authorize acceptance and pass-through of funds from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community for the 21 programs listed below in the not-to-exceed amount of $829,000.00 in FY 2018. This budget adjustment does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. Also, authorize the execution of the attached Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA). Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. The Tribal Gaming Fund awards do not allow recovery of indirect costs. (C-18-18-006-G-00)
