ACCEPT TRIBAL GAMING FUNDS FROM TOHONO O’ODHAM NATION AND APPROVE GRANT-IN-AID AGREEMENT Pursuant to A.R.S. §5-601.02, authorize Maricopa County through the Office of Budget & Finance to accept and pass-through Tribal Gaming Grant funds from the Tohono O’odham Nation and approve the Grant-in-Aid Agreement, for the 8 programs listed below in the not-to-exceed amount of $264,614.85 in FY 2022. These funds are for government services that benefit the general public , including public safety, mitigation of the impacts of gaming, or promotion of commerce and economic development. Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels Mobile Therapy Program for Children with Cancer FY 2022 Award: $4,000.00 Arizona State University INSPIRE Summer Bridge Program 2022 FY 2022 Award: $85,829.85 Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona Weekly Mentor Program, Camp Series, Professional Artist Series, and Free Arts Days FY 2022 Award: $5,000.00 Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Arizona Campaign FY 2022 Award: $50,000.00 NABI Foundation Educational Youth Summit FY 2022 Award: $50,000.00 Native American Connections Phoenix Indian School Visitor Center FY 2022 Award: $25,000.00 Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation Patient Coping Kits FY 2022 Award: $29,785.00 Ryan House Child Life Program FY 2022 Award: $15,000.00 The grant award is one time and there is no cash or in-kind match requirement. Indirect costs are not applicable to Tribal Gaming Grants. Future ongoing cash contributions are not required after the grant period. The grant award is not a mandated function and the services provided by this grant benefit the general public , including public safety, mitigation of the impacts of gaming, or promotion of commerce and economic development. The grant award is competitively bid and determined by the Tohono O’odham Nation. There are no costs that will need to be absorbed by the department’s operating budget. (C-18-22-064-X-00)
