20. RESOLUTION TO APPLY FOR TRIBAL GAMING FUNDS FROM GILA RIVER INDIAN COMMUNITY Pursuant to the Board’s Resolution regarding Processing of Tribal Gaming Fund Applications, dated May 31, 2016 (“Gaming Resolution”), Maricopa County is the administrative pass-through for tribal gaming applications (“Applications”) received pursuant to the State of Arizona Department of Gaming Compact (“Compact”). The Applications seek funds for services that benefit the g eneral public , including public safety, mitigation of the impacts of gaming, or promotion of commerce and economic development. Pursuant to the Board’s Gaming Resolution, Maricopa County defers substantive review of the Applications to the Tribal authoriti es and places these matters on the consent agenda. Pursuant to the Compact, Sections 12(b) and (d), the Tribe shall perform the substantive review of applications and ensure 12% of its contributions under the Compact go to services that benefit the general public . Accordingly, authorize Maricopa County to accept and pass-through the applications listed below pursuant to the compact agreement for Gila River Indian Community. The total amount of funds awarded will not exceed $2,405,750.85. American Red Cross of Central and Northern AZ Saving Lives Everyday Applicant Request: $500,000.00 Arizona Science Center STEM Learning Programs for Low-Income Children Applicant Request: $50,000.00 Arizona YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix Senior Meals Program Applicant Request: $15,000.00 Arouet Foundation Arouet Workforce Program Applicant Request: $25,000.00 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central AZ W. Phx . Site-based and Community-based Mentoring Applicant Request: $52,100.00 Circle the City Medical Respite Care Program for Patients Facing Homelessness Applicant Request: $40,000.00 Dress for Success Phoenix Employment Skills and Training Program Applicant Request: $25,000.00 Free Arts for Abused Children of AZ Arts Program for Children Applicant Request: $10,000.00 HonorHealth Foundation Beds for Babies Applicant Request: $100,000.00 Maricopa County Dept of Public Health- MCPH SunProduce RX Pilot Program Applicant Request: $284,980.00 Maricopa County Sheriff's Office- MCSO Expansion of Drone Pr ogram 2023 Applicant Request: $220,434.85 McDowell Sonoran Conservancy Invasive Plant Fire Mitigation Applicant Request: $29,236.00 MentorKids USA ILEAD My Generation Applicant Request: $21,000.00 Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation Phoenix Children' s Expansion Initiative Applicant Request: $500,000.00 Raising Special Kids Positive Parenting Applicant Request: $20,000.00 Ryan House Sponsor-A-Stay Applicant Request: $100,000.00 Sounds Academy Comprehensive Music Education for Underprivileged Youth Applicant Request: $40,000.00 Southwest Human Development Early Language and Literacy for Children Applicant Request: $78,000.00 Televerde Foundation PATHS Workforce Development Program Applicant Request: $50,000.00 Treasure House Employment and Life Skills Training Program Applicant Request: $25,000.00 Whispering Hope Ranch A Camp for Everyone Applicant Request: $220,000.00 Authorize the Chairman, or his designee in the Office of Budget and Finance (OBF), to sign all application documents and resolutions related to these grant funds, as applicable. The grant award is one time and there is no cash or in-kind match requirement. Indirect costs are not applicable to Tribal Gaming Grants. Future ongoing cash contributions a re not required after the grant period. The grant award is not a mandated function and the services provided by this grant benefit the general public , including public safety, mitigation of the impacts of gaming, or promotion of commerce and economic devel opment. The grant award is competitively bid and determined by the Gila River Indian Community. There are no costs that will need to be absorbed by the OBF’s operating budget. (C-18-23-082-X-00)

64. ACCEPT TRIBAL GAMING FUNDS FROM THE GILA RIVER INDIAN COMMUNITY Pursuant to A.R.S. §5-601.02, authorize acceptance and pass-through of funds from the Gila River Indian Community for following programs in the not-to-exceed amount of $271,331.00 in FY 2024. The resolution to apply for these grant funds was previously approved on 3/15/2023 (C-18-23-082-X-00). Arouet Foundation Arouet Workforce Program Applicant Award: $25,000.00 Arizona Science Center STEM Learning Programs for Low-Income Children Applicant Award: $25,000.00 Arizona YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix Senior Meals Program Applicant Award: $15,000.00 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central AZ W. Phx.
