13. DONATION OF COURT DOG AND OWNERSHIP AGREEMENT Accept a restricted non-monetary donation with a fair market value of $5,000.00 for a golden retriever dog from Rhonda Stewart, an employee of the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. Rhonda Stewart is the current handler and owner of "Sam" a trained and certified animal who is to be used in the County Attorney's Court Dog Program. This program utilizes the animal in court to provide victims and witnesses of crime with emotional and psychological support during criminal justice proceedings. Rhonda Stewart received ownership of the animal from the Foundation for Service Dog Support, Inc. Approve an agreement between Maricopa County, on behalf of the County Attorney, and Rhonda Stewart to accept ownership of the dog and comply with the terms and conditions related to such ownership. This agreement would become effective on the date ownership was initially transferred to Rhonda Stewart, May 22, 2010, and will remain in effect until the animal is retired, or the agreement is terminated. The County Attorney agrees to absorb all costs related to the care and upkeep of the animal. (C-19-11-050-D-00)

14. TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF RETIRING CANINE Approve the transfer of ownership of retiring victim assistance canine, “Sam”, to canine handler Rhonda Stewart effective July 29, 2016. Approval of this item allows this dog to become the personal property of handler Rhonda Stewart. THIS ACTION REQUIRES UNANIMOUS APPROVAL OF THE BOARD. (C-19-11-050-D-01)
