A-3. CONFLICT WAIVER FOR MARICOPA COUNTY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE Having been advised of its right to receive independent legal advice and having been fully informed as to the potential ramifications of a conflict of interest, including a full disclosure of any risks that may be associated with granting a waiver of the conflict, the Board hereby gives its informed consent and grants the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (the “Office”) a waiver of conflicts of interest resulting from enforcement action and Notice of Violations initiated by Maricopa County Air Quality Department against the Maricopa County Solid Waste Department, both of which are departments of Maricopa County. The waiver allows the Office to advise and represent the Maricopa County Solid Waste Department in responding to the Notice of Violation issued by the Maricopa County Department of Air Quality relating to the Queen Creek Landfill, owned by the County. Further, the Board waives any conflict that may exist relating to the Office continuing to advise and represent both the Solid Waste Department and the Department of Air Quality on other non-adverse matters.
