15. ACCEPT DONATION FROM PETSMART CORPORATION – COUNTY ATTORNEY Accept the restricted monetary donation in the amount of $6,708.00 from PetSmart, Inc. This donation is to fund the support of the County Attorney's K-9 Victim Support Program and is to be used to purchase food, grooming materials, and other accessories for the K-9 "Sam." PetSmart, Inc. recognizes the importance of the K-9 Victim Support Program and desires to defray the costs of maintaining the victim support K-9 "Sam." The Victim Support K-9 Program helps young victims cope with their exposure to the criminal justice process. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitations, and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office received a similar donation from PetSmart during FY 2012. (C-19-13-028-D-00)
