12. EXPENDITURE AUTHORITY FOR OUTSIDE COUNSEL CONTINGENCY Pursuant to A.R.S §42-17106B, transfer FY2012-13 expenditure authority in the amount of $700,000 from Non-Departmental (470) General Fund (100) Unreserved Contingency (4711) Operating (0000) to the Outside Counsel line in Non-Departments (470) General Fund (100) Other Programs (4712) Operating (0000). The purpose of the transfer is to cover increased costs associated with outside counsel appointments. The Outside Counsel budget is used by the County Attorney Civil Division for appointments in civil cases. Costs have run higher than anticipated this year due to Tax Appeals and the DOJ case.
