15. GRANT FROM ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR RESTITUTION PROGRAM Accept grant funds from the Arizona Department of Public Safety Victim Assistance Grant Program in the amount of $62,500. This agreement, DPS Contract No. 2013-082, commences July 1, 2013 and terminates on June 30, 2014. Authorize the Chairman to sign all documents related to this agreement. In accordance with Crime Victim Assistance Guidelines, Section III., Paragraph h., sub-paragraph vi. (on page 20 of the guidelines) the grant allows a 0% rate for indirect costs, or $0 that may be incurred by the County Attorney's Office of Maricopa County for the administration of this grant. The Maricopa County Department of Finance has calculated the County Attorney's composite indirect cost rate for FY 2013-14 at 13.9%, or $8,688. The recoverable indirect cost of administering this grant is $0; the non-recoverable indirect cost is $8,688. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office recognizes that this grant requires a cash equivalent match of $15,625 and has the resources to provide this match. Grant revenues are not "local revenues" for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. This award agreement, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Victims of Crime Act, Victim Assistance Grant Program, CFDA #16-575 Sub-grant Award, is in the amount of $62,500. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office has received Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approval for the acceptance of Arizona Department of Public Safety, Victims of Crime Act, Victim Assistance Grant Program awards previously, with the most recent funding being awarded in fiscal year 2012/2013 in the amount of $58,006.
