9. OFFICIAL APPOINTMENTS AS SPECIAL DEPUTY COUNTY ATTORNEYS Pursuant to A.R.S. § 11-409, approve the official appointment of the following listed persons as Special Deputy County Attorneys of the Maricopa County Attorney effective July 29, 2013 and authorize the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to certify the Official Appointments and Oaths of Office in accordance with A. R. S. § 38-231. This appointees will assist in the investigation and prosecution of a fraud and theft case: State v. Weymouth. James A. Eaves, an attorney with the law firm of Sanders & Park, PC Robin E. Burgess, an attorney with the law firm of Sanders & Park, PC The County Attorney is an Officer of the County, as enumerated in A.R.S. § 11-401, and pursuant to A.R.S. § 11-409, such an enumerated County Officer may appoint deputies and assistants with the consent of the Board of Supervisors. Further, such appointments shall be in writing and certified by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. (C-19-14-004-9-00)
