9. PROMOTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN PETSMART, INC. AND MARICOPA COUNTY Accept and approve a Promotional Agreement by and between Maricopa County, administered through the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, and PetSmart, Inc. Authorize the Chairman to sign any and all related documents. This agreement is effective the last date signed by either party and terminates 12 months from the effective date. Recognizing that the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Maricopa County continues to be a problem, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and PetSmart will jointly design, print, and distribute a calendar to educate the community about pet safety, pet overpopulation, and animal abuse prevention. The calendar will feature photographs of the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office Victim Support K-9 Sam. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will photograph Sam, design the calendar’s layout, and format the publication for printing. PetSmart will print an agreed-upon quantity of calendars for distribution by PetSmart and/or the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. This endeavor is revenue and expenditure neutral. The cost to PetSmart for printing the calendars is not to exceed $6,000. (C-19-14-011-3-00)
