4. REPLACEMENT OF FLEET VEHICLES AND EXEMPTION FROM MARKINGS Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-538-03 and §28-2511(A), approve the issuance of non-governmental license plates and exemptions from county markings for two (2) undercover vehicles. These vehicles are replacing two (2) vehicles that are used for law enforcement investigative purposes. Vehicle details and identification numbers will be kept on file with the Clerk of the Board and retained in accordance with ASLAPR approved retention schedule. This vehicles were purchased in accordance with Maricopa County’s vehicle replacement process. The replacements were acquired using budgeted General Government (Agency 470) General fund (100) monies through the Equipment Services department. These replacements were deemed critical by equipment services due to excessive mileage and/or the age of the vehicles which made it cost prohibitive to acquire replacement parts with which to maintain the vehicles. As this action involves the a replacement of existing vehicles in the fleet, expenditures for the operation and maintenance of the vehicles will continue to be absorbed by the County Attorney's general fund budget with zero net impact. As the vehicles being replaced are currently exempt from markings and governmental license plates, the Maricopa County Attorney's Office requests that the replacement vehicles purchased also be exempt from County markings and issued regular Arizona license plates as provided in accordance with A.R.S. § 38-538.03 and A.R.S. § 28-2511(A). This will ensure that they can be used in furtherance of their law enforcement mission. (C-19-15-020-V-00)

10. ADMINISTRATIVE CORRECTION TO REPLACEMENT OF FLEET VEHICLES Administratively correct the information in the action taken on January 13, 2015 in which the Board of Supervisors approved the issuance of non-governmental license plates and exemption from county markings for two undercover vehicles. Approval of this action will correct the information regarding one of the vehicles. The 2001 Ford with 87,414 miles was listed as vehicle #11133. The correct vehicle number is 11303. All other information in the agenda is correct. (C-19-15-020-V-01)
