15. APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT FOR COUNTY ATTORNEY SPECIAL REVENUE FUND Per A.R.S. §42-17106(B), authorize the following amendment to the FY 2016 budget: a) Decrease the expenditure authority for the Non Departmental (470) Non Departmental Grant (249) Non-Recurring, Non-Project (0001) in the line "Unreserved Contingency" in the amount of $1,500,000. b) Increase the expenditure authority in the County Attorney (190) RICO (213) Non-Recurring, Non-Project (0001) in the amount of $1,500,000. These actions will have a County-wide net impact of zero and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenue duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The County Attorney has identified several major technology-related projects that will enable the department to enhance the public’s safety. These projects are of a one-time nature and will be resolved by the end of the 2015-2016 fiscal year. The County Attorney proposes to utilize $1,500,000 in existing fund balance of the County Attorney (190) RICO (213) fund. This expenditure appropriation budget increase will allow the County Attorney to utilize accumulated fund balance to respond to extraordinary needs of the organization that directly impact public safety and expend such non-recurring funds for programs and services of limited terms and duration.
