15. SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT REGARDING CLAIM FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF FEES AND EXPENSES Approve settlement in the amount of $58,316, compromising the claims filed by Timothy Casey of Schmitt, Schneck Smyth Casey & Even on or about October 28, 2015 and November 5, 2015 for reimbursement of fees and expenses associated with retention of ethics counsel in Melendres v. Arpaio, CV2007-2513. Also, in accordance with A.R.S. 42-17106(B), approve the transfer of expenditure authority by decreasing the expenditure authority for the Non Departmental (470) General Fund (100) Non Recurring Non Project (0001) Contingency (4711) in the line "Unreserved Contingency" by $58,316 and increasing the expenditure authority in the Non Departmental (470) General Fund (100) Non Recurring Non Project (0001) in the line 4742 "Judgments" by $58,316 in FY 2016. Also direct the Department of Finance to issue payment according to the Court Order signed February 3, 2016 in Schmitt, Schneck Smyth Casey & Even and Maricopa County. These actions will have a County-wide net impact of zero and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17105.
