10. LEGISLATIVE APPROPRIATION FOR FELONY PRETRIAL INTERVENTION PROGRAM Approve the acceptance of the Senate Bill 1526, Section 144 felony pretrial intervention program appropriation in the amount of $250,000. Funds shall be used for the administration of a felony pretrial intervention program. The legislative appropriation of $250,000 is one-time funding from the Health Services Lottery Monies Fund in FY2017 for administration of a Felony Pretrial Intervention Program. Also approve: Increase the revenue and expenditure authority for the County Attorney (D190) County Attorney Grants Fund (219) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) by an amount not to exceed $250,000. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. This appropriation allows a 0% rate for indirect costs or $0 that may be incurred by the County Attorney's Office for the administration of this grant. The County Attorney's Office has an indirect cost rate of 15.2% for FY17, the recoverable indirect cost of administering these additional grant funds is $0; the non-recoverable indirect cost for the additional funds is $38,000. These monies are to be distributed to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office by the Administrative Office of the Courts. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office currently administers a program that allows individuals who are charged with Felonies to avoid prosecution by successfully completing a treatment program tailored to their individual needs. 23. FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA SUPREME COURT ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE COURTS FOR FELONY PRE-TRIAL INTERVENTION PROGRAM Authorize the Chairman to sign the funding agreement with Arizona Supreme Court Administrative Office of the Courts for the felony pre-trial intervention program appropriation in the amount of $250,000. Acceptance of funds was approved by the Board on August 17, 2016 in C-19-17-006-M-00. (C-19-17-006-M-01)
