15. AGREEMENT WITH US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION FOR THE DEA TASK FORCE FY2017 Approve the Task Force Agreement and acceptance any available reimbursement funding up to $17,753.00 from the US Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration. The term of this agreement is October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017. Authorize the Chairman to sign all documents related to these grant funds, as applicable. The grant allows a 0% rate for indirect costs, or $0 which may be incurred by the County Attorney's Office or Maricopa County for the administration of this grant. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office's composite indirect cost rate is 15.2%, or $2,698.00. The recoverable indirect cost of administering this grant is $0; the non-recoverable indirect cost is $2,698.00. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. Also approve an increase to the revenue and expenditure authority in the County Attorney (D190) County Attorney RICO Grants Fund (219) Operating (1000) of $13,315 for FY 2017 and $4,438 for FY 2018. Approval of this agreement allows for reimbursement of overtime paid to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office detective assigned to the DEA Task Force. The purpose of the agreement is to enhance disruption of the illicit drug traffic in Maricopa County and the State of Arizona by immobilizing targeted trafficking violators and organizations.
