A-1. PAYMENT REGARDING JUDGMENT ON TAXATION OF COSTS IN THE MATTER OF MELENDRES V MARICOPA COUNTY, D.C. NO. CV-07-2513-PHX-GMS Approve payment pursuant to the Judgment on Taxation of Costs, ordered in the matter of Melendres v Arpaio, et al. Case No. CV-07-2513-PHX-GMS as ordered and signed on October 19, 2016, also approve the following adjustments for use of contingency dollars: a) Decrease the expenditure budget for Non-Departmental (D470) General Fund (100) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) in the line "Unreserved Contingency" (4711) in the amount of $64,742. b) Increase the expenditure budget in the Non-Departmental (D470) General Fund (100) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) in the line “Judgments” (4742) by $64,742. These actions will have a County-wide net impact of zero and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenue duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. Also direct the Department of Finance to issue payment according to the Order, signed October 19, 2016 in Melendres v Arpaio, et al. CV-07-02513-PHX-GMS. Approval of this action will allow payment of the settlement agreement of plaintiffs’ claim for attorneys’ fees and costs. This matter was discussed in executive session on October 31, 2016.
