7. APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT FOR COUNTY ATTORNEY SPECIAL REVENUE FUND Pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17106B, authorize the following transfer of expenditure authority within the FY 2018 budget: a) Decrease the expenditure authority for the Non Departmental (D470) Non Departmental Grants Fund (249) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) in the line "Unreserved Contingency" (4711) in the amount of $120,819, not to exceed the original fiscal year 2017 appropriation of $250,000. b) Increase the expenditure authority in the County Attorney (D190) County Attorney RICO Fund (213) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) in the amount of $120,819, not to exceed the original fiscal year 2017 appropriation of $250,000. These actions will have a County-wide net impact of zero and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenue duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The County Attorney received one time spending authority within fiscal year 2017 for fund 213 in the amount of $250,000 for several major technology-related projects that will enable the department to enhance the public’s safety. Several of the items purchased arrived after June 30, 2017. The County Attorney is requesting the authority be extended through fiscal year 2018 for the remaining balance. The County Attorney proposes to utilize up to $120,819 in existing fund balance of the County Attorney (D190) RICO Fund (213). This expenditure appropriation budget increase will allow the County Attorney to utilize accumulated fund balance to respond to the extraordinary needs of the organization that directly impact public safety and expend such non-recurring funds for programs and services of limited terms and duration.
