GRANT FROM ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR COURTROOM ADVOCACY PROGRAM Accept grant funds from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Victims of Crime Act, Victim Assistance Grant Program for the Courtroom Advocacy Program in the amount of $1,322,250. This three year agreement commences October 1, 2017 (retroactive due to the grantor’s delay in awarding funds) and terminates on September 30, 2020. Authorize the Chairman to sign all documents related to this agreement. The grant allows a 10% de minimis rate for indirect costs of $120,204 that may be incurred by the County Attorney's Office of Maricopa County for the administration of this grant. The County Attorney's composite indirect cost rate for FY 2017-18 is 16.8%, or $222,138. The recoverable indirect cost of administering this grant is $120,204; the non-recoverable indirect cost is $101,934. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office recognizes that this grant requires a cash equivalent match of $330,563 and has the resources to provide this match. This award agreement, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Victims of Crime Act, Victim Assistance Grant Program is in the amount of $1,322,250. The most recent funding awarded for the Courtroom Advocacy and the Superior, Juvenile and Justice Court Advocacy programs was in fiscal year 2017/2018 in the amount of $144,881 and $151,766 respectively.
