5 . APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT FOR COUNTY ATTORNEY SPECIAL REVENUE FUND Pursuant to A.R.S. $42-17106(B), approve the following transfer of expenditure authority within the FY2019 Budget: a) Increase the expenditure authority in the County Attorney (D190) RICO (213) Non-Recurring, Non-Project (NRNP) budget by $75,500 Other Operating – Software. b) Increase the expenditure authority in the County Attorney (D190) RICO (213) Non-Recurring, Non-Project (NRNP) budget by $42,000 Other Operating – Software. c) Decrease the expenditure authority for the Non-Departmental (D470) Non-Departmental Grants Fund (249) Non-Recurring Non-Project (NRNP) by $117,500. The County Attorney has identified initiatives that will enhance the public’s safety. These projects are of a one-time nature and will be resolved by the end of the 2018-2019 fiscal year. The County Attorney proposes to utilize $117,500 in existing fund balance of the County Attorney (190) RICO (213) fund. These actions will have a County-wide net impact of zero and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenue duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. This expenditure appropriation budget increase will allow the County Attorney to utilize accumulated fund balance to respond to the extraordinary needs of the organization that directly impact public safety and expend such non-recurring funds for programs and services of limited terms and duration.
