COMPETITION IMPRACTICABLE WITH MITCHELL STEIN CAREY CHAPMAN Approve an increase of $57,689, from $100,000 to $157,689, to a Competition Impracticable agreement with Mitchell Stein Carey Chapman Law firm as outside counsel to represent Maricopa County in Maricopa County Assessor, Paul Petersen, matter. In November 2019, a Competition Impracticable agreement with Mitchell, Stein, Carey, Chapman Law Firm was approved under the Chief Procurement Officer's authority, as the anticipated cost was under $100,000. However, MCAO has received three invoices that total $157,688.83, which exceed the Chief Procurement Officer's authority by $57,688.83. The matter has since concluded and, therefore, no additional invoices are anticipated. (C-19-20-045-M-00)
