12. TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF RETIRING K-9-TORI Approve the transfer of ownership of retiring Victim Support K-9, Tori, to Victim Advocate, Mary Picard. Tori is a 12-year-old English Labrador Retriever. Due to advanced age, Tori is showing a decrease in drive and noticeable change in behavior limiting its abilities and requirements necessary to adequately perform duties. Tori is becoming increasingly dependent upon the fK-9 handler and is requiring additional level of care beyond what is acceptable in a courtroom setting. Mary Picard accepts full care and financial responsibility for the dog upon adoption and will be asked to sign the Canine Release and Indemnification.
