18. AGREEMENT WITH PHOENIX CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, INC. Approve the agreement with Phoenix Children’s Hospital on behalf of the Maricopa County Attorney to aid in the investigation and possible prosecution of child physical abuse, child sexual assault, and sexual abuse matters involving minors. The terms of t his agreement become effective upon approval of the Board of Supervisors and shall continue from July 1, 2022, until June 30, 2023, unless otherwise extended. Phoenix Children’s Hospital maintains and is willing to provide professional healthcare provide rs, staff, and personnel with knowledge and expertise in the medical evaluation and examination in cases of child sexual abuse and sexual abuse, forensic interviews, and records review in cases of suspected child physical abuse with the understanding that their evaluation may include consultation and courtroom testimony as it pertains to such cases. Authorize the Chairman to sign any and all documents related to this action. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO) will reimburse Phoenix Children’s Hospital at rates outlined in “Attachment B: Compensation and Reimbursement” for services under this agreement. 28. AMENDMENT TO PHOENIX CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AGREEMENT Approve amendments made to the agreement with Phoenix Children's Hospital on behalf of the Maricopa County Attorney to better represent expectations and requirements of both parties. Following are the detailed changes made to the contract: 1. Remove Attachment A and reletter remaining attachments. 2. Update references to remaining attachments throughout document. 3. Remove Advocacy Center in 2.2 for the reason Advocacy Centers do not do lab work. 4. Remove 5.23.3 in its entirety. 5. Renumber 5.23. 6. Update contact information for Maricopa County Attorney's Office in what is now 5.23.3. 7. Add 8. DISPUTES: The parties retain the right to pursue any judicial remedies available under Arizona law. The terms of this agreement will become effective upon approval of the Board of Supervisors July 1, 2022 . Authorize the Chairman to sign any and all documents related to this action. The original agreement was approved by the Board of Supervisors on 6/22/2022 under agenda item C-19-22-153-X-00. All other terms will remain in effect unless otherwise extended or amended.
