16. APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT FOR COUNTY ATTORNEY GRANT BUDGET In accordance with A.R.S. 42-17106(B), approve the following amendments to the FY 2024 budget: Increase the revenue and expenditure authorities for County Attorney (D190) County Attorney Grants (219) Operating (OPER) budget by $1,438,272. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. These actions will have a county-wide net impact of zero, and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenue duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.A 42-17105. The grant allows a 0% rate for administrative or indirect costs. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office FY 2024 composite indirect cost rate is 20.2%, or $290,530.94. The recoverable indirect cost is 0 due to grant requirements, and $290,530.94 is non-recoverable. The non-recoverable indirect costs will be covered by the departmental general fund budget. No match is required during the grant award period. This grant is competitive and does not require ongoing cash contributions after the grant period ends. (C-19-24-110-X-00)
