25. MOU BETWEEN GLENDALE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND MARICOPA COUNTY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE FOR THE USE OF RESOURCES TO COMBAT HUMAN TRAFFICKING Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Glendale Police Department (GPD) and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO) to support the use of MCAO resources by the Glendale Police Department in efforts to combat human trafficking within GPD’s jurisdiction and, when appropriate, in coordination with neighboring jurisdictions. Under this agreement, MCAO authorizes GPD to utilize certain MCAO resources for human‑trafficking‑related operations. MCAO will not provide, and is not responsible for providing, any certifications required for GPD personnel to operate those resources. GPD agrees that neither MCAO nor Maricopa County will be held liable for injuries sustained by GPD officers while operating or deploying these resources. The MOU becomes effective upon final signature. It may be amended at any time through mutual written consent of both parties. The agreement will remain in effect until June 30, 2027, unless modified or terminated earlier by mutual agreement. The parties may extend the term through a written agreement. (C-19-26-120-X-00)
