24. DATA SHARING AGREEMENT BETWEEN NEW YORK UNIVERSITY AND MARICOPA COUNTY ACTING THROUGH THE MARICOPA COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE Approve the Data Sharing Agreement between New York University and Maricopa County. This agreement allows Maricopa County, acting through the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO), to share data with New York University (NYU) for the purpose of evaluating the potential of generative artificial intelligence tools to streamline and enhance victim notification in the MCAO. The project aims to improve communication with victims, enhance victims' understanding of the criminal justice process, improve victim availability, and thereby improve case outcomes while alleviating administrative burdens associated with victim notification. The Agreement shall take effect upon its signing by all parties and shall remain in effect for four years or upon completion of the project, whichever occurs first. MCAO and NYU will bear their own costs for sharing the Data and completing the project. Neither the MCAO nor NYU will reimburse the other’s costs, and neither will seek any reimbursement.
