24. ACCEPT TRIBAL GAMING FUNDS FROM FT. MCDOWELL YAVAPAI NATION FOR NAC-BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS Authorize acceptance of funds from the Ft. McDowell Yavapai Nation for Native American Community Center (NAC)-Building Improvements. On April 27, 2011, the Board authorized submission of this application to Ft. McDowell Yavapai Nation (C-20-11-056-G-00). These funds are for government services that benefit the general public, including public safety, mitigation of the impact of gaming, or promotion of commerce and economic development. The total amount of funds to be received will not exceed $8,395 for FY 2011-12. Authorize the Chairman to sign all acceptance documents, which may also include an IGA. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these funds are not prohibited by the budget law. Indirect costs are not applicable to Tribal Gaming Grants.
