47. APPLY AND ACCEPT TRIBAL GAMING FUNDS FROM SALT RIVER PIMA- MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY FOR THE MARICOPA COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT The Maricopa County Human Services Department applied for a $200,000 Tribal Gaming Grant from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community ("Tribe") for the Homeowner Rehabilitation for Disabled Veterans Program. The Tribe approved a $143,000 grant. Pursuant to A.R.S. §5-601.02, authorize the application and the acceptance of the Tribal Gaming Grant approved by the Tribe for the Maricopa County Human Services Department in the not-to-exceed amount of $143,000. Also, authorize the Chairman execution of all documents related to this grant which may include an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA), Grant-in-Aid Agreement, or similar documents. The Tribal Gaming Fund awards do not allow recovery of indirect costs. The FY 2016 Human Services Department approved Indirect cost rate from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is 20.2% of salaries and employee related expenses. The grant funds will not be used for personnel costs, so the total estimated unrecoverable indirect cost amount is $0.00. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This Agreement does not alter the budget constraining expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The Human Services Department budget will be adjusted as necessary in future grant reconciliation. This does not impact the County General Fund. (C-20-16-005-G-00)
