40. OPPORTUNITY ZONE 2.0 – CENSUS TRACTS RECOMMENDATION TO ARIZONA COMMERCE AUTHORITY Approve the following four census tracks and recommend adoption to the Arizona Commerce Authority 1. 04013318400 – [District 2] City of Tempe with County Island; SE Corner of Scottsdale Rd / Curry Rd 2. 04013112518 – [District 5] SE Corner of 83rd Ave / Broadway Rd 3. 04013061046 – [District 4] SE Corner of Litchfield Rd / Glendale Ave 4. 04013083000 – [District 5] City of Tolleson Authorized by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA, 2025) , the second round of the Opportunity Zone program was created. This program provides a federal tax benefit for investments in distressed areas. The Governor of Arizona will approve census tracts recommended by the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA). The ACA has requested that cities and counties recommend census tracts deemed eligible based on specific criteria, including Median Family Income and Poverty Rate. The four tracts listed above will be considered by the ACA for approval. (C-20-26-020-X-00)
