14. EXCEPTION OF THE VACATION CARRYOVER LIMIT Approve the request for an exception of the vacation carryover limit as of December 31, 2018 for the following individuals: Adams, Richard C Altaha, Jasper Bolinger, John M Bunjevic, Deyan Ghazal, Nihay N Johnson, Brittney A Johnson, Christopher C Kish, Donna A Luna, Eliza K Manoz, Melissa E Morales, Gabriel Olguin, Hope M Passarelli, Kristine Podolnikov, Andriy V Radtke, Harry E Ramirez, Berta Ramirez, Gary Redmond, Colleen M Rickard, Paul W Rodenback, Joseph D Stewart, John D Suljagic, Nusreta Thompson, Tiernan A Tocci, Brendon W The request would allow not more than 200 hours in excess of the current accrued vacation limits of 240 or 320 hours to be used by March 31, 2019. Any excess hours that are not used by March 31 will transfer to the sick hours for each respective individual. Should the Board approve these exceptions, the employees will not be paid out for the excess vacation hours they are allowed to carryover should they voluntarily leave employment before these vacation hours are used or roll into the employees’ sick leave banks. Reasons for exception: The Maricopa County Elections Department has held six Elections in 2018: February (Special Primary Congressional District 8), March (City of Tempe Jurisdictional), April (Special General Election Congressional District 8), May (Town of Fountain Hills, Town of Queen Creek, and City of Surprise Jurisdictional), August (Primary Election Maricopa County), and November (General Election Maricopa County). Staff did not have time available to take off without disrupting the various Elections. (C-21-19-010-M-00)
