49. AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE SALVATION ARMY FOR EARLY HEAD START PROGRAM Approve and execute Amendment No. 2 to Lease Agreement No. L-7312, with Salvation Army, located at 241 East 6th Street, Mesa, AZ, effective March 8, 2010. The purpose of the amendment is to extend the total term of the lease of an Early Head Start classroom, closet space and the use of playground equipment from the original expiration date of March 7, 2010 to June 30, 2010 and to adjust the annual operating expenses to account for the additional months. The rental fee for the additional months will be as follows: March 8, 2010-April 7, 2010=$500.00 plus rental tax April 8, 2010-May 7, 2010 $500.00 plus rental tax May 8, 2010-June 7, 2010 $500.00 plus rental tax There is no impact to County General funds. This amendment was endorsed by the Facility Review Committee at its meeting on January 28, 2010. This amendment extends the term of the lease through the current school year, after which the Head Start program must find a replacement site for their classroom as the Salvation Army is unable to continue providing the space.
