AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT WITH STATE HOUSING FUND/STATE OF ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract 552-08 between Maricopa County through its Human Services Department and the State Housing Fund/State of Arizona Department of Housing to provide funding for low income families with eviction prevention/emergency housing. The contract amount is being increased by $81,000, with the total amount being revised from $158,792 to $239,792. This amendment will terminate June 30, 2009. Appropriation adjustment is not requested at this time as these funds are included in the 2008-09 Adopted Budget. (C-22-09-021-3-01)

38. AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT WITH ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING Approve Amendment No. 2 to Contract C-22-09-021-3-01 between Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department and the State of Arizona Department of Housing /State Housing Fund to provide funding for low income families. The contract amount is being increased by $158,792 with the total amount being revised from $239,792 to $398,584. This amendment will terminate June 30, 2010. The FY2008-09 budget will not be changed; this grant will be included in FY2009-10 requested budget an amount of $158,792. Funding for this agreement is provided by a grant from State Housing Fund/State of Arizona Department of Housing and will not impact the County general fund budget. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this budget adjustment does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. Funding for this agreement is provided by a grant from State Housing Fund/State of Arizona Department of Housing and will not impact the County general fund budget." (C-22-09-021-3-02)

98. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING FOR EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Approve Amendment No. 3 to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between State of Arizona, Department of Housing (552-08) and Maricopa County through its Human Services Department in the not-to-exceed amount of $458,584. The purpose of this amendment is to increase the IGA amount from $398,584 to $458,584 which is a total increase of $60,000. This amendment is effective from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. All other terms and conditions of the IGA remain in full force and effect. The Department of Human Services indirect rate for FY 2009-10 is estimated at 15.2%. The IGA allows for indirect costs at a rate of 15.2%. Of the $60,000 increase, direct pay costs of $60,000 and are not subject to indirect charges. Therefore, indirect costs are estimated at $0. Funds for this IGA are provided by a grant from State of Arizona Department of Housing and do not impact the County's General fund. (C-22-09-021-3-03)
