53. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH MESA PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR FOOD SERVICES FOR THE HEAD START ZERO-FIVE PROGRAM Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Mesa Public Schools to provide food catering to participants in the Maricopa County Head Start Zero-Five Program. The purpose of this amendment is to increase the total budget amount by $47,678, from $313,098 to $360,776 and to increase the number of Head Start and Early Head Start sites due to the receipt of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Expansion funds. This amendment does not impact any County General funds. The term of the original agreement remains October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010. These additional ARRA funds allow the Head Start Program to serve 94 additional Head Start and Early Head Start children at four additional classrooms and one Home Base group. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain in full force and effect. (C-22-10-015-3-01)
