43. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES OF THE SOUTHWEST FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AN ACCESS POINT Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest, a faith-based organization, and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department to establish Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest as an Access Point for purposes of Workforce Development activities. This non-financial MOU is effective upon signature by both parties and will expire December 31, 2011. Access Points are a network of faith-based and community based organizations that provide residents with a location where job seekers can access abbreviated One Stop Career Center services. As an Access Point, Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest will assist youth and adult job seekers to access employment-related services to assist them in obtaining employment. This MOU will create a partnership enabling Maricopa County residents that are unable to travel to a One Stop Career Center, the ability to access services through an Access Point that is located in the community. 36. AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES OF THE SOUTHWEST ACCESS POINT AGREEMENT Approve Amendment No. 1 to the non-financial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest, a faith-based organization, and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department. This amendment acknowledges the following changes in locations where Access Point -Workforce Development activities are provided: Remove 5.0 LOCATION WHERE SERVICES WILL BE PROVIDED 5.1 Foster Youth and Alumni Transition Center, 807 North Stapley Drive, Mesa, AZ 85203; and 5.2 Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest, 5946 E. University Drive, Mesa, AZ 85205 Replace with 5.0 LOCATION WHERE SERVICES WILL BE PROVIDED 5.1 Love of Christ Lutheran, 1525 N Power Rd, Mesa, AZ 85205 All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain the same and in full force and effect. 25. AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES OF THE SOUTHWEST ACCESS POINT AGREEMENT Approve Amendment No. 2 to the non-financial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest, a community based organization, and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department. This amendment adds another location in which services will be provided and extends the Agreement for an additional two years, through December 31, 2013. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain the same and in full force and effect. Access Points are a network of faith-based and community based organizations that provide residents with a location where job seekers can access abbreviated One Stop Career Center services. As an Access Point, Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest provides assistance to youth and adult job seekers to access employment-related services to assist them in obtaining employment. This MOU provides a partnership that enables Maricopa County residents that are unable to travel to a One Stop Career Center, the ability to access services through an Access Point that is located in the community.
